Pale Ale

Why this beer is a true Pale Ale …

This beer was brewed to be the flagship Saranac beer. The recipe is a true English Pale Ale – rich and fruity, yet finishes crisp. It embodies our brewing philosophy to brew distinctive and drinkable beers.

Our exclusive new Hop Infusion Process maximizes hop-to-beer exposure, resulting in a fresher taste that recently took home gold in its first competition post-HIP. Taste the difference for yourself.

Legacy IPA

When our founder began brewing back in 1888 a few things were different, like the significantly lighter grains he used in his first IPA (we agree – he sure was ahead of his time brewing IPAs back then).

The lighter grains resulted in a noticeably lighter color in the beer, which also allowed for the crisp, clean hop flavor to shine through. We’ve re-crafted his original creation, staying true to his technique, but we’ve modernized the recipe with the most innovative hops available today.

We’ve proud to share over 125 years of brewing expertise with you: our Legacy IPA.

Prism: This lighter wheat ale might have a hazy appearance, but one thing’s crystal clear: it practically sparkles with bright, citrusy flavor.

Heart of the Hop: At the heart of this beer is a citrusy combination of Simcoe and Citra hops, while Rye malt adds a dry spiciness, and caramel and carafa malts give it the dark amber hue.

Goat Rodeo: Two types of German hops combine with a trio of malts-German Pilsner, Caravienna, and old-school floor-malted lager malt. The brew is step-mashed for added depth, making a rich, slightly herbal bock.

Gen IV: Inspired by four generations of brewing: Fred and Nick Matt helped “pilot brew” this Session IPA with a hop-forward, tropical character. Dynamic and easy drinking.

Cloud Splitter: Bursting with citra hops, our twist on a Belgian-style White is hopped like an American India Pale Ale. Unfiltered. Unapologetic. Unbelievably good.

Octoberfest: A medium bodied copper colored lager. Its rich, malty taste is subtly balanced by Saphir and Perle hops. The beer is aged slowly in the Munich tradition.

Dark-tober(fest): With Munich malts providing its deep reddish-copper color and bigger, richer character, this is an Octoberfest that truly embraces its dark side.

Autumn Pils: Sterling hops? Czech. Saaz hops? Czech. Clean, crisp, pilsener taste? Czech. This fusion of new- and old-world hop character yields a Czech-style pilsner with a citrusy earthy character and a crisp snappy finish.
