This hoppy pilsener is brewed with the unique Mandarina Bavaria German hop, which showcases a citrusy-earthy character. A traditional German lager yeast provides a crisp finish.

S’more Porter
Combining the flavors of a porter and campfire s'more, this beer is brewed with a blend of caramel, biscuit, brown, and roasted malts and is then aged with chocolate and vanilla. The result is a rich and decadent beer with the flavor of milk-chocolate, marshmallow, and toasty graham cracker. Just like the real thing.

Caramel Porter

Why this beer is delectable …

Caramel, caramel, caramel! There is caramel in this beer, make no mistake. We took a traditional style porter and added REAL caramelized sugar for a delicious caramel flavor.

This is a traditional dark English style porter with a sweet caramel flavor, making it a very attractive beer to people who don’t usually like dark beer. The rich color comes from roasted barley, chocolate malt and caramel malt, which also add a nice roasted flavor.

We use East Kent Goldings hops, a very traditional English ale hop, which has roots back to the late 1700s. The other hops, Willamette, is a U.S. grown variety although it has a lot of the same characteristics as an English ale hop.

Pumpkin Ale

We add a perfect blend of real spices right into our copper kettles: cinnamon, allspice, cloves and ginger. Just ask our Brewmaster’s wife, Mrs. Kuhr! Our brewing recipe uses the same spice ratio as her homemade pumpkin pie. Jim couldn’t get enough, so he had to brew a beer just as tasty!

We use LOTS of real pumpkin to brew this beer (nearly 3,000 pounds). We add it right into our mash cooker with our specialty malts. The amount of pumpkin takes up over 10% of the total weight of the mash. That makes for a delicious real pumpkin flavor!

OctoberFest

We leverage the traditional German decoction process to make this popular beer and stay true to form with the ingredients: we use Perle and Saphir hops, very traditional German hops, combined with crystal and caramel malts which add a really nice toasted malt character and a nice deep caramel color.

F.X. Matt, our founder, learned the art of brewing in Germany, so we naturally brew this beer in the same German tradition (passed down through four generations). However, the spelling of “October” is intentional. When he founded our company, F.X. made it a point to only allow English to be spoken at the Brewery. In his honor, we forgo the traditional German spelling for the English spelling!

Brewer’s Notes

Style: German Lager
Food Pairings: Stews, Wurst
Description: A medium bodied copper colored lager. Its rich, malty taste is subtly balanced by Saphir and Perle hops. The beer is aged slowly in the Munich tradition.
Cheese Pairings: Jalapeño Jack
Malts: 2-Row, Crystal
Original Gravity: 13° Plato
Hops: Saphir, Mt. Hood

Dark-tober(fest)

The German style “festbier” is brewed with dark and light munich malts. These malts are Decoction mashed-a unique process that allows us to extract more flavor from our grains. The dark munich malt provides a reddish-copper color and a toasty malt flavor.

Our Dark-tober(fest) takes inspiration from traditional German-style Octoberfest beers. The flavor profile features a more bready malt character with less caramel sweetness as compared to an American-style Octoberfest. This beer is a bit bigger, maltier, and darker than the American-style, and favors the traditional Munich malt character. Straight delicious.

Brewer’s Notes

Style: Oktoberfest
Food Pairings: Hearty chicken sausage, and pork dishes. Mexican.
Description: With Munich malts providing its deep reddish-copper color and bigger, richer character, this is an Octoberfest that truly embraces its dark side.
Cheese Pairings: Emmental, Gruyere, Jalapeño Jack
Malts: Munich, Dark Munich, Pilsner, Caramunich
Original Gravity: 14° Plato
Hops: Magnum, Hallertau Mittelfruh
